Japanese-style Carbonara Pasta |
Ingredients |
1 Bottle 350g Prego Carbonara Mushroom Sauce
350g Spaghetti
3 Pieces Imitation Crabstick (Kani), cut into diagonal slices
10g Butter / 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
1 Teaspoon Minced Garlic
1/4 - 1/2 Teaspoon Wasabi (optional)
Garnish
Shredded Nori Strip
Freshly Ground Black Pepper |

Methods |
1. Cook pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water, folloing packet directions, until tender. Drain.
2. Meanwhile, melt butter and saute garlic in a frying pan over medium low heat until fragrant. Add crabstick and cook for another 1 minute.
3. Pour in Prego Carbonara Mushroom Sauce. Cook, stirring occasionally (add in touch of wasabi to enhance the flavour if you prefer a stronger taste) for 1 minute or until mixture bubbles.
4. Toss in cooked pasta until combined. Remove and divide the mixture into individual plates.
5. Garnish with shredded nori strips and ground pepper. Serve immediately. |
